Beacon Program

The Beacon Program is a short-term transition program available to identified students who have had extended absences due to illness, injury (including concussions), psychiatric hospitalization, school refusal or extended evaluations. Other students may access this program on a case-by-case basis. The Beacon Program helps students with re-entry and re-integration into the school community by supporting their academic, social, and emotional needs. It is designed to minimize student stress and anxiety upon their return, while also encouraging academic progress. The program is staffed by a licensed clinician as well as a teaching assistant who assists students with their school work.
