L-S has 5 student-directed contemporary vocal groups.  Mr. Bunting serves as Advisor for all 5 groups.  Ms. Frommer also serves as Advisor of Accent.

Acafellas is a student-directed a cappella group of Tenors and Basses who sing popular music.   Since 2008, Fellas has rehearsed during ACA blocks on Wednesday.  They perform at concerts and coffeehouses throughout the school year.  Student vocal group members are strongly advised to participate in the L-S Treble Choir or Concert Choir.

The Fellas hold auditions every fall the 4th week of September.  There will be info about auditions announced during Choir in the fall, on posters around the school, and at the Activity Shoparound in the A-B Connector in September.  If you have you questions, you can contact the music director Simon Perry (2020), or the group's advisor, Mr. Bunting.

Accent is a student-directed mixed a cappella group of  Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses who sing popular music.   Accent is L-S' oldest student-directed a cappella group, and rehearses from 1:30-3 pm on Wednesdays.  They perform at concerts and coffeehouses throughout the school year, and often compete at ICHSA a cappella competitions.  Student vocal group members are strongly advised to participate in the L-S Treble Choir or Concert Choir.
