Music in the Parks Festival at 6 Flags New England
All band, choir and orchestra students can perform in the Music in the Parks Festival held at 6 Flags of New England. This festival is held each year on a Saturday in April or May, L-S first participated in May of 2022, and we plan to continue to participate in this festival during any school years we are not offering a larger Tour.

Jr. District Festival
Auditions: Sat, Jan.
Auditions will be held at Needham High School.
9th Grade Music Students are eligible to audition, see your director to sign up.

Senior District Festival
Sign ups are now taking place for the Eastern District Senior Festival Honor Group Auditions!
L-S Music Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to audition for senior districts.
Auditions: Sat, Nov.
Instrumental students sign up on the form posted in the music hallway. Choral Students sign up with Mr. Bunting. Pick up info and field trip form from your director.

Eastern District Senior Festival Auditions are held at Milton HS. L-S’ audition time is 1:05. Meet at L-S at 11:15am. Return approx. 3:45pm.

All Eastern & All National
We are pleased to announce one student accepted to the All-National Festival in Nashville, TN in 2014:

MAJE Combo & Big Band
One jazz combo may participate in the MAJE State Combo Festival. Held in May.
One or both jazz ensembles may participate in the MAJE Big Band Festival. Held in March. -
MICCA Choral Festival
The Massachusetts Instrumental & Choral Conductor Association holds an annual Festival in which we participate from time to time.
Ensembles that earn Gold Medal rankings are invited to perform on a special concert at Symphony Hall in Boston.

MMEA Festival Opportunities
L-S students may individually participate in festival honor groups for the MMEA Eastern District. These include the Senior and Junior District Festivals.
All State: Students are invited to audition based on audition score from senior district.
All Eastern: Students who participate in All State Groups are invited to audition for All Eastern
