Choral Music (Bios)
Michael Bunting has served as L-S choral director since the fall of 2010. He also teaches music electives, advises student vocal groups, is the music director for the musicals. Over his tenure, Mr. Bunting has expanded the L-S Choral Program to now include Singing Valentines, the Conservatory Block option, and he supported students beginning the student-led a cappella group Musigals. He is committed to making the Choral Program a welcoming place for students of all levels from Lincoln, Sudbury, Boston where everyone is treated with kindness and respect as we work towards high-level music making.
An active choral singer himself, Mr. Bunting currently sings with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus (or TFC). TFC performs in Boston's Symphony Hall with the Boston Pops & the Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as in the summer out at Tanglewood. As adjunct faculty at UMASS Lowell, Mr. Bunting taught classes in Choral Repertoire and Rehearsal Techniques and Vocal Pedagogy from 2014-2020. Previously, he taught in the Springfield, Reading, and Gardner, MA public school systems. He has visited, observed, or performed at high schools in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, and North Carolina.
Mr. Bunting holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and a Master’s of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Southern Maine with Dr. Robert Russell. He is a native of Lexington, MA.
In his spare time, Mr. Bunting plays ultimate frisbee, is an avid reader and Red Sox fan, and lives with his wife. They hope to get kittens soon.

Starting in Fall of 2023, Christine Hogan is our new L-S Choral Accompanist. Christine is a pianist, organist and choral director. She has holds a B.A. in Collaborative Piano from Boston University and an M.S.M Concentration in Organ from Boston University. At L-S, she accompanies choral groups for two rehearsals a week, leads sectional rehearsals to help singers master their voice parts, and plays for concerts and events.
On certain, joyous occasions, she also bakes.

Elissa Putukian - After many years of service to L-S Choir and Music, Elissa Putukian retired in June of 2023. Elissa's professionalism, incredible musical skills, and warm heart greatly benefited the L-S community for 50+ years. Several generations of L-S students, and choir directors, are in her debt, and remember her fondly.
