Adaptive Rail Trail needs vols Sat. Aug 22, Sept. 19
The Commission on Disability is partnering with the Rail Trails Advisory Committee and All Out Adventures to host free Adaptive Rail Trail Ride events this summer and fall along the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail in Sudbury. The program provides adaptive cycling opportunities for people of all ages and abilities using recumbent trikes, handcycles, tandem bikes, and other adaptive cycles in a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment.
We are currently seeking 3–5 volunteers for upcoming events, including high school students looking for community service opportunities. Volunteers help riders on and off bikes, ride alongside participants when needed, assist with setup, and help create a fun and encouraging experience for everyone.
One young participant shared after our kickoff event in May:
“I felt like I was flying!”
Upcoming rides take place at the Broadacres Farm Parking Lot (62 Morse Road) from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. on:
• Saturday, August 22
• Saturday, September 19
Volunteers may sign up for one or more time slots here:
