Career Center

Career Center

The Career Center is available to all students that wish to and/or need assistance  to explore internship opportunities and/or paid employment. The Career Services Coordinator  works closely with school counselors and special education staff to develop appropriate opportunities for students and to provide support throughout their placements.

Referrals for the internship program come from the student’s guidance counselor or special education liaison and generally require a modified academic class schedule. Students can also refer themselves and come learn about the resources and community connections offered by the Career Center anytime.

Semester 1 internships are now available in several fields including education, technology, non-profit, entrepreneurship and civil service. Seniors eligible for the full time internship elective option semester 2 should make an appointment with Ms. Moynagh no later than November 1, 2019.

The Jobs Board is located in the A300 hallway and job openings will be posted to the new LS website soon.

In addition, students interested in paid after school jobs should plan to attend the LS Student Job Fair on Wednesday, September 25th during lunch block. Employers will be set up outside the cafeteria from 11-1 and students are encouraged to stop by!
