Career Center

The Career Center is available to all students as a resource for career education. The office is located in A-302. The Career Center Coordinator works closely with students and staff to develop and support employment and internship opportunities that match student interest and educational needs. You can come to the Career Center for help finding a job or making a resume and/ or to learn more about the internship program.

The Work Study Program is an opportunity for students who work outside of school an average of 15 hours per week to earn school credit. Students must be 16 years old and in 11th or 12th grade. Work study applications are due at the beginning of each semester.

Internships are a chance to experience learning outside the school building in a career field of interest. Internships are available in education, environmental studies, law enforcement, marketing and technology, hair design and many other areas. Final semester seniors in good academic standing are eligible for full time internships in the place of traditional school classes. Other students can participate on a part time basis. This program is highly individualized for each student so students are encouraged to start the planning process as early as possible.

The Career Center hosts a Community Job Fair in the Fall and Spring. Check morning announcements for the dates. See links below for more detailed information on the programs offered.
