Nature Connection , must be 16+, needs vols therapeutic nature-based summer program
What: The Nature Connection is seeking high school students who are 16+ years old to volunteer with us at our therapeutic nature-based programs this summer. Join us in sharing the joy and wonder of our plants, animals, and seasonally-based natural materials with our program participants in nursing homes, memory care units, and day programs for elders and adults with disabilities.
When: Mandatory training on June 27 from 10am-3pm and 3, 2-hour programs per month in July and August
Where: Our office in West Concord (80 Beharrell St Suite D, Concord, MA 01742) and various nursing homes, memory care units and day programs for elders and adults with disabilities throughout Middlesex County
Tasks: As a volunteer, you fill a vital role in the organization that allows us to offer hands-on, sensory exploration of nature to our program participants that may have safety, health, and/or behavioral complications.
