Enjoy a day of stewardship and history at Minute Man National Historical Park. Join fellow volunteers for Park Day 2019 and assist with landscape rehabilitation along the Battle Road Trail. Activities include performing orchard care, removing invasive plants, raking leaves, and improving trails to prepare for commemorative tactical demonstrations and reenactments. The day will start at 9:00 am in the Minute Man Visitor Center at 3113 Marrett Road, Lexington, MA. The park will provide tools, safety gear, a free t-shirt for the first 100 registrants, and refreshments, as well as an overview of the site’s history.

Minute Man NHP commemorates the first Battle of the American Revolution. On April 19, 1775, the militias and minutemen of the Massachusetts countryside, in order to preserve their liberty, fought against the British redcoats. Volunteers who give their time on Park Day will have the opportunity to rehabilitate a nationally significant site within Minute Man NHP. This is a great way for everyone to help improve the park and learn some history along the way. The activity will end at 3:00 pm.

The rain date for Park Day will be the following day, Sunday, April 7th.
