(120) MODERN WORLD HISTORY

Full year course – 4 credits Open to: 9 only This course is the study of the globalizing world from 1500 through the beginning of the 21stcentury. Topics of study include how societies organize themselves in order to survive and thrive, interact with each other and the environment, and cooperate and confront each other to create the Modern World. Reading and other materials are selected form a variety of sources as a supplement to the textbook. Student work is designated tot each historical, social and geographic content as well as to develop verbal and analytical skills.
