Description: The Atkinson Scholarship Program offers 15 qualified high school seniors up to $5,000 a year in grant money, with an option to reapply each year of their undergraduate academic career. The scholarships are designed to recognize and assist local students with financial need, academic promise and the capacity to make a meaningful contribution to society.

Applicants must first meet a certain threshold of financial need. Candidates are then selected based on academic performance, school and community activities, letters of recommendation and a written essay. Reviewers also consider the applicant’s desire to contribute to society through community service, advancement of a field of interest, or the sharing of a special skill or talent.

The program is open to high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2019 from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School or a Sudbury resident or the dependent of a Town of Sudbury or L-S full-time employee graduating from another area high school.

The application deadline is February 1, 2019 for the academic year beginning in the fall of 2019. Awards will be announced in early April, 2019.

Lincoln-Sudbury Scholarship Fund: Through community support, Lincoln-Sudbury Scholarship Fund Dollars for Scholars annually offers a large array of both financial need and non-need based scholarships to graduating seniors in acknowledgement of their achievements in academics, sports, for their participation in the community and much more.  Applications will be available on-line beginning March 1st.
