Beacon is the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School Transition Program for students who experience lengthy absences from school. The reasons for student absences vary from medical issues to mental health.

Beacon is staffed by a Clinical Counselor, Chris Shutzer. Chris works with the Beacon students, their teachers, their families, and their outside service providers to help the students reenter Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in the smoothest way possible. The process is individualized to account for the student’s capabilities, interests, and treatment plan.

Beacon is located in room A303 of the high school. The classroom is a “safe space” for Beacon students: they are allowed to access at anytime during the school day.
