Below you will find a link to the L-S head injury data for the last two school years. This data was reported to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Please note, comparing sports programs by the number of concussions can be misleading. For example, football has a boys team while rugby, soccer and ice hockey all have girls and boys team. In addition, head injuries occur as frequently–and in 2014 & 2016, more often–outside interscholastic athletics. The athletic director, athletic trainer and nurses review this data throughout the year and use it to inform our practice in working with L-S coaches and students.
