Echoes, the history magazine of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, was created in 1985 to give students the chance to publish and read exemplary history papers. At a time of great excitement over business and computer classes, it was the hope of the Echoes staff to rekindle interest in the humanities. Echoes gave the entire community an opportunity to appreciate work that previously only individual teachers were able to enjoy. Editors also hoped that the standard of excellence established by the magazine would challenge and inspire all students. After a good ten-year run, the staff put Echoes to bed for the last time in 1994, ending the project with the publication of A Diffent Kind of Place, a book about the history of the school.
