Welcome back everyone for a blustery return from February school break!
Welcome back especially to our travelers from The LS Memorial School Club who spent a week in Cambodia plus an (unplanned) evening at the Hong Kong airport! And to our French Language students who went to Notre-Dame de Bellegarde, our exchange school near Lyon, France. Thank you to our chaperones that safely shepherded them there and back!
While we were away our tech team extraordinaire continued their work over the break helping us to successfully transition our student information systems from iPass to Aspen. So far things are going well as our team continues to re-build to our infrastructure. I extend my deepest appreciation to their work and attention to this feat and to your patience. We are still working on creating access to the parent portal. An update should come shortly.
All LS students are encouraged to check out the Student Job Fair this Wednesday, 11 to 1 in the AB connector. We have employers looking to hire for this summer and beyond! No experience required!
We are winding down post-season winter sports. A parent/guardian/athlete meeting for spring season will be held March 13, Wednesday evening starting at 6:30 pm. There will be a 30minute presentation followed by time to meet coaches. There will also be a meeting held in Boston, site, time and date to be announced later this week.
Next week we anticipate the annual World Language Week and accompanying activities. We also look forward to a busy few weeks of music concerts and hosting the Junior Eastern MA Music District competitions.
I invite parent/guardians to an open coffee this Thursday morning 8 to 9 am in Conference Room A located near the main entrance in A Building. The next coffee is scheduled for Thursday, March 28. I look forward to seeing any of you there!
