Upcoming Event:
Parents, Teens and Stress: Are we part of the solution? Or the problem? Wed., March 11@7:30pm, LS Caf
Students reporting life as being “Very Stressful” at LS has increased from 29% in 2006 to 41% in 2018 according to the MetroWest Adolescent Health Survey. The prevalence and increase among girls at LS is especially striking, as 52% reported stress in 2018 vs. 34% in 2006. What is going on? Why are kids experiencing life as so stressful? What can we in the community do about it? At this event, hear directly from students about the specific stress they are feeling. Ask them about how parents might be adding to this stress or how we can more positively impact the stress they are feeling. Join us in LS Caf at 7:30pm on Wed., March 11 as LS students and a school clinician discuss the many aspects of stress in students’ lives. We would like to have the students answer specific questions from parents about the stress they are dealing with, so if you would like to submit a question, please email it to Connections at [email protected] by March 9.
