Volunteer with The Nature Connection and make intergenerational connections through nature this summer!:
The Nature Connection is seeking high school students who are 16+ years old to volunteer with us at our therapeutic nature-based programs this summer.
Join us in sharing the joy and wonder of our plants, animals, and seasonally-based natural materials with our program participants in nursing homes, memory care units, and day programs for elders and adults with disabilities. You’ll not only see—and feel—how the programs engage the participants and build their confidence, you will be the reason it happens. This is a great opportunity for those with a strong appreciation for nature, and would like to share it with others.
When: Summer vacation - Opportunity starts Wednesday, 6/28 and ends late August.
Our programs take place on weekdays, Tuesdays - Fridays.
Each program is a 2-hour commitment and we are asking students to volunteer at 3 - 4 programs per month (July & August).
Where: Training will take place at The Nature Connection office in Concord, MA. Programs are held in Concord and the surrounding towns, as well as throughout the rest of Middlesex County. Volunteers are required to provide their own transportation to and from The Nature Connection office and program sites.
