2022-23 Student Travel Options

2022-23 Student Travel Options
Posted on 04/07/2022
Dear Grade 9, 10, and 11 LS Students and Families,

It is hard to believe that we have not been able to run any student travel trips since the 2018-19 school year. Sadly, all trips scheduled for 2019-20 and 2020-21 were canceled. Most of the student travel options for 2021-22 have also been canceled. However, we are very pleased that this April vacation the annual Habitat trip will be the first travel return to Baltimore! And two other groups will be traveling this summer. The first group will leave at the end of June to represent LS at the EF Global Student Summit in Berlin followed by a tour through Munich and parts of Switzerland. Wellness is the theme at this year’s Summit. The second group will be traveling to visit southern and northern portions of Iceland in July.

I am now extremely excited to release the proposed student travel list for 2022-23! All travel options meet the travel requirement for students participating in the Global Scholars Program. See the link for information regarding financial assistance.

The options for next year include canceled trips rescheduled for next year some of which still have space for new enrollment and new options. There will be a virtual informational session at 7 pm April 28 for two of the new options: 1) Cold War European Tour and 2) EF Global Summit 2023 on Sustainability with a tour to the Azores. At this time the tour to Japan is TBD. If we do decide the trip will run then information about this tour will also be shared at this session.

You must RSVP for this info session in order to receive a link. A parent or guardian needs to attend along with any student. If you are not able to attend the meeting you can also choose to have info sent to you.

RSVP to the 4/28 informational session here: https://rsvp.eftours.com/rgja494
