Summer Reading for Incoming Ninth Graders:
An incoming ninth graders’ reading assignment depends upon whom each student has for English in ninth grade.
When a student receives her schedule during the summer and sees whom she has for English, there will be an accompanying list of summer reading books organized by teacher that she should consult to see what her teacher has assigned for summer reading.
The ninth grade summer reading books are available in local bookstores and through online retailers. We urge students to buy her own copy. However, if a student is not able to buy the book, there are also copies available in the Lincoln, Sudbury and Boston libraries, or through the Minuteman Library Network.
At the start of the school year, students will have discussions and a writing assignment on the assigned book in English class.
