About
The Lincoln-Sudbury Regional Health Office is open from 7:50 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. for students with medical problems and /or routine first aid. Students who feel too ill to go to class should come to the Health Office (located in the A Building. Room A313). Ill or injured students will only be dismissed home with parental permission. If a student requires daily medication at school, a signed note from the parent, the prescribing doctor and the original medication container will be given to the nurse. All medication will be kept in and dispensed through the Health Office. Students who need pain/fever medication on an episodic basis, must have a parent/guardian signature on file in the Health Office. (This permission is given on The Student Health and Emergency Form which is mailed home during the summer with student schedules and should be returned to the Health Office before school starts in September.) The Health Office only stocks acetaminophen, ibuprofen, Tums, hydrocortisone and antibiotic ointment for routine medications. Benadryl is given for acute allergic reactions ONLY. We do not stock over-the-counter allergy, cold or any liquid medications. If you wish to leave any such medications (in original container), please bring the medicine with a signed parent/guardian note to the Health Office. If parents have any concerns regarding the health of their student(s) they should contact the nurses at 978-443-9961 X-2390. Any extending illness e.g. mononucleosis or injury/ hospitalization should also be reported. |
