Web Site Project
Our next project is a Web Site project. You can make a web site of a project you are doing for another class. For example, if you are doing a pottery project, you can make a web site about it! Or a history project or something else. Or a web site about a book you are reading in English or a topic you are studying in Science.
Your project should have:
- At least three separate pages, with links between them.
- A common theme (colors, background image, etc)
- At least six images - some can be from the internet but at least two should be taken yourself or scanned.
- One short movie you make yourself, put into an appropriate format for a web page.
- Links between the pages, and links to at least four outside pages.
- At least one table. If you think your project doesn’t need a table, you can use a table to position text and pictures the way you want (if you set the ‘border’ to zero, you can make the table itself invisible). Try it!
- Two (or more) drawings or animations made with Fireworks.
Everything (pages, pictures, Quicktime version of your movie, etc.) should be in your Lastname_Site folder.
Anything you don’t create yourself should be appropriately cited.
The first thing you need to do is to tell me what your web site project is going to be.
Make a pages document and tell me what your topic is and in very general terms what your three web pages will be. Print it out and show it to me.
