Public Speaking & Excellent Presentations
We've made Keynote presentations/slideshows. Usually, one would make a slideshow presentation in order to... well, present it. To an audience.
How do you feel about public speaking?
Preparation, practice, and taking the advice of those that are successful presenters can help us become better at speaking to groups.
Search the Internet for sites that give information and/or hints for giving high quality presentations and/or creating engaging slideshows.
Answer the following questions (number the answers according to the questions) in an email to Jim (at jim_berry@lsrhs.net) or in a document that you drop in the class drop box.
- What are the web addresses of the sites you found most useful?
- What is the most important piece of information you learned about speaking to a group?
- What surprised you about the information you read/saw/heard?
- What information or advice seemed obvious?
- Do you think what you've read/seen/heard will help you the next time you have to speak to a group?
- Would you like to present your Keynote presentation to the class to practice your public speaking?
