Quarter Project

Your quarter project will involve you creating a website. It must be one of the following

• A project for one of your classes
• A website for a teacher at L-S
• Improving an area of the L-S website
• A website for an L-S club or sports team

Images: You should create all the images for your project. You may take digital pictures, scan pictures or create images in Fireworks. I will allow only 2 images copied from other sites and you must reference where you got the image from either on your page or in your code.

Links: It should be easy to navigate around your site, and there should be links to sites outside where appropriate.

It should include

• at least one image that you've manipulated in some fashion
• at least one table used for either content or formating
• an email link at some place the site

My expectations:

• Keep all your files in a Q1 folder
• Any image that you get from the internet MUST be cited in your source code, if not directly on your web page.
• The website will be at least 5 pages (a main page saved as q1project.html and 4 other pages linked to it).
• You can work on the site in your spare time

You will be graded on the following:

• Your ability to independently use the technology (i.e. show me you know what you're doing).
• Style of your website
• Content of your website
• Time management -- you will be severely graded down for not completing the site in time, so tackle a project that you can finish and incorporate items that you are capable of realistically creating.
