1. Create a Music folder in your Sites folder (If you have an ipod use this link for the assignment)
2. Open iTunes and Select Itunes -> Preferences -> Importing and change to MP3 Encoder

3. When you put in an audio CD the program iTunes should begin. Select File Add to Library and choose the track you are interested in.


4. That track will be imported into the library. It may take a few minutes.

5. In this assignment I only want you to take 30 seconds of your track. If you take more I will mark you down!!! You only want a small piece of this track to put on your website. Select the track in the itunes window. Go to the menu bar - Select File - Get Info, click on the Options Tag and enter the start and stop times of the piece you want to put on the web. Click OK and select the tune - Select Advanced Convert to MP3.

6. Drag the smaller edited version to your music folder and rename to a title
without spaces and the extension .mp3![]()
7. Now it's time to add it to a Dreamweaver page. Create a new dreamweaver page called Sound.html.
8. Type "Listen to my music". Select the text and go to Window->Behaviors-
Make sure you are showing Events for IE 5.0 - choose Play Sound - click on
the "+" sign
and choose Onclick. You will notice the little plug-in icon
at
the bottom of your Dreamweaver document

To Do More: Put a 30 second clip of music on your Sound.html document. Try to find a small sound or music clip from a website and put it on your document(giving credit where credit is due of course)
To Do Much More: See if you can figure out how to put a small movie clip or quicktime video clip on your sound.html web page(hint: using iphoto is a quick way to make your quicktime video)
