Senior District Festival
Congratulations go out TO ALL OF THE STUDENTS WHO AUDITIONED for the Massachusetts Music Educator Associations Eastern District Senior Music Festival on Nov. 19, 2011 .They auditioned individually and were competing against students from public and private schools in the 30 communities included in our district. For the third year in a row, this is the highest number of students from L-S that have been selected for the festival, and the highest number to qualify to audition for the All-State ensembles. Of special note, three of our students achieved the top scores for auditions for their instruments and were awarded first chair placement. We’re Proud of You!- Mr. Grandprey and Mr. Bunting The following students were accepted into the festival groups: Baltay Brittany, Soprano, chorus, All State Audition Rec. They will rehearse with their respective ensembles and perform a concert at Boston Latin's auditorium on January 8th. On a related note to West Side Story, which a number of these students were involved in, Leonard Bernstein is an alumnus of Boston Latin.
