September 14-18 - Auditions for select groups, signup for; jazz ensemble, flute choir, chamber groups September - Activity Shop Around (Recruitment for music clubs during lunch) September 23- Back to School Night (Some small ensembles & soloists perform) September - Pit Orchestra Auditions for Fall Musical Oct. 29 - Field Trip to BSO High School Open Rehearsal. Leave 8:00 am Return 2:30 PM. Beethoven: Symphony No. 6, Lorin Maazel, conductor. November 18, 19, 20, 21 - Fall Musical - Alice in Wonderland November 21 - Senior District Auditions (9-12 Grade) (@ Milton H.S.) Load the bus at L-S at 11:15am, return to L-S by 4:00pm -provided auditions are running on time. November 25th - Senior Citizen's Thanksgiving Luncheon- Symphonic and Concert Jazz Ensembles 12:00- 1:30PM. December 14 - December 16 - Select Music Ensemble Showcase Choral Dress Rehearsal (Chamber Singers and Vocal Jazz) 6-10pm December 17 - Select Music Ensemble Showcase (Select Vocal Groups & Jazz Combos) (6:30 call) Concert Starts at 7:30. March 13 -Berklee High School Jazz Festival (Jazz Warriors, Vocal Jazz Ens., Concert Jazz Ens., Select Jazz Combo) March- Recruitment Concert (date and ensembles to be announced) March 18-20th - Allstate Festival/MMEA Conference April 9, MICCA Music Festival for Choral Groups @ Algonquin Regional HS. Mixed Chorus: 6.50pm - 7.10pm, Chamber Singers: 8.10pm - 8.30pm April 10 MICCA Music Festival for Instrumental Groups @ Lexington HS. Symphonic Band: 10:00am-10:30am, Orchestra 1:00pm-1:30pm, Concert Band: 3:30pm-4:00pm All Instrumental Groups will load buses at L-S @ 8:00 am. and return to L-S @ 5:45pm More detailed info is posted on the MICCA Festival Page. May 4- Choral Dress and Community Sing Rehearsal 6:30-9:30 May 5- Choral Dress and Community Sing Rehearsal 6:30-9:30 May 6 - Choral Concert (6:30 call, 7:30 start) May 17 - Instrumental Concert Dress Rehearsal 6-10pm May 20 - Instrumental Concert (Orchestra, Symphonic and Concert Bands, Flute Choir) (6:30 Call) June 9 -(date change from June 2nd) L-S Film Festival- (Select Jazz Combo) setup 6:45, start 7:15, Finish 9:30 June 6 (Sunday) - Graduation (Combined Concert & Symphonic Bands) 3:00-7:00pm at L-S. L-S GRADUATION WILL BE IN THE GYM DUE TO RAIN. 4PM SUNDAY, JUNE 6TH. As announced in class that when graduation is moved indoors- THE BAND WILL NOT PLAY FOR THE CEREMONY due to lack of space in the gym. Please do not go to school for the ceremony, there is not space for you attend. Admission Tickets (already mailed to each family) will be required to see the event in the gym. Graduation will be simulcast on cable (for viewing at home) and in the L-S Auditorium. G. June - Civic Orchestra Concert
