When Logging into the computer in the video lab use the following:
  • username_________________________

  • password_________________________

BEFORE YOU CLICK THE “SAVE” BUTTON MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE SAVING IT AND WHAT IT’S CALLED.
  • For this class all your project related files must be saved:

    ____________________________________________
  • They should NOT BE SAVED IN

    ____________________________________________
  • & they should NOT BE SAVED IN

    ____________________________________________

Do NOT save projects or related files on the BOOT drive - the desktop is generally part of the boot drive.
  • As part of regular maintenance, the boot drive is erased and replaced. If you save your project there it will get erased during maintenance.
  • Double check that you’ve saved your project in the correct place. In the Finder (the desktop), double click on the appropriate hard drive and see if your project is in the hard drive.
SOS: SAVE OFTEN @#$%*!
  • Once you’ve saved your project file, you can save new changes by choosing File Menu > Save or by pressing the apple and S keys. You should do this every few minutes.
  • If the computer crashes, someone trips on the power cord, or if there is a power failure, you lose whatever amount of work you did since the last time you saved.
Bring In Your Music on a CD
  • Don't expect to transfer your music from:
    • Your iPod
    • Your iTunes library
    • Someone else's iTunes library
LOG OUT When you are finished working at the computer

BRING YOUR MUSIC IN ON A CD - music cannot be copied from iPod music libraries, nor can they be copied from shared playlists.
