Advanced Film Entry Ticket

You will have class time to complete this, and since this is all online you are also expected to work on this outside of class time.  You will have approximately ONE WEEK to complete the set of tasks on this ticket.  Once you have completed the tasks youÕll have gained Òfull admissionÓ to the class.

Task 1:

Or you may have to go to http://quizlet.com and ask for ÒFilm Production Glossary.Ó  There is a set of over 90 terms and definitions that I have put there.  You can browse through the terms and definitions, you can play ÒscatterÓ http://quizlet.com/scatter/77833/

Or you can dive in and take the online quiz.  I want you to answer all 91 questions! The quiz generator is on the right side of the page. You design the quiz itself by telling it the types of questions and how many.  Choose all 91 questions and decide if you want matching, multiple choice etc.  Take the quiz and then print the results.  It will be graded and corrected.  Tell me the grade that you got and I will record it.  DonÕt worry about how low you score as you will be retaking this quiz throughout the quarter, and each time your grade improves, The higher grade will replace the lower.  You may retake the quiz numerous times throughout the quarter.  Whatever your highest grade is by the end of the quarter is what you get!   Place the quiz print out in your folder for future reference.

There are several FLASH CARD sets in the classroom.  These are around for you to spend some idle time with a friend—remember there is no such thing as nothing to do in this class!

I will use the quiz results to identify gaps in your learning and use the FLASH CARDS to develop quick lectures and demonstrations for the start of each class.
