Technology

or

Teachnology?

Technology or
Teachnology that is the question…

I am interested in the differences between using technology to teach and using technology as a tool that learners can use to teach themselves and teach others. Construct knowledge through a learning experience and thought process that is affected by technology. The kinetic and mental process used and developed by interactions with computers, video, and other humans.
This web page under construction is the start of another examination—looking at the thought processes in the right side and left side of the brain. The right, more visually oriented, the left more logical and problem solving. Some people have stronger right thinking and others have more left hemisphere oriented ways of thinking. Perhaps this dichotomy, which in an oversimplified way divides people into different groups, can be used to examine the relationship/struggle between using technology as a "logical" or "artistic" tool.
Part of the learning process is a struggle between people and machines and learning how to talk to the machines and having the machines do what we want them to. It’s sometimes fun and sometimes frustrating.
