Shared METCO Director - Fhynita Brinson

The role of the Director is to direct and oversee all aspects of the L-S METCO program and to advocate on behalf of the program. Part of the task of advocacy is to help the institution continue to examine its practices, and work to find ways to help Boston Students reach their full potential.

METCO Academic Advisors - Andrew Nyamekye and Tara Zantow

The Advisor’s role is to support academic achievement through regular contact with students, to serve as an active liaison between parents and school personnel, students, and teachers.

Andrew teaches the Cultural Identity Group Seminar (CIGS course) designed to help minority students see themselves as successful and value education in their lives. He is the advisor for the Class of 2011 and the Class of 2014.

Tara coordinates IAS (Independent Academic Study) designed to provide academic supports throughout the school day and connect students to tutors in the school. She is the advisor for the Class of 2012 and the Class of 2013.
