Give Back to the Community Service Day:
A Thank You Gift to our Communities
Wed. June 1st, 9 a.m. to 1:00p.m.

L-S Class of 2011 Starts a New Tradition: A Day to Give Back to the Communities that have Given so Much to Them.

Over 185 Lincoln-Sudbury seniors participated in the 1st Annual Senior Service Day organized by the Martin Luther King Action Project. They did everything from helping senior citizens with their technology needs, cleaning-up yards for senior citizens, haying at Lovelane Special Needs Stables, removing invasive plants at Wolbach Farm, Lincoln Conservation Land and,the White House Pre-school, teaching Spanish to elementery students, working at Lincoln and Goodnow Libraries, building benches at Haskell Field, painting, cleaning, planting, and trash pickup at Fairbank, cleaning at Sudbury Town Hall, raking playgrounds, working at the elementary schools of both towns, redoing the plantings on Concord Rd., helping at the Wayside Inn, and more. Together, the seniors donated more than 740 hours of service to the communities.





The work sites for the 1st Annual Senior Service Day included:
Lincoln Conservation, Lincoln Library, Goodnow Library, The Wayside Inn, Lovelane Special Needs Riding Program, Lincoln Park and Rec., Sudbury Park and Rec, Sudbury Valley Trustee's, Wolbach Farm, Lincoln Council on Aging , Sudbury Senior Center, Individual Senior Citizens' homes: yard clean-up, Fairbank, Haskell Field, Sudbury Historical Society/Town Hall, Peter Noyes Haynes Loring Nixon Hartwell White House Pre-school/SWEET Invasives.
