Technology Orientation for New Staff

Getting Help When You Need It

Everyone runs into glitches, pitfalls, and trouble sometimes. If your work with the educational technology at LSRHS is not going as smoothly as you'd like, you can try the following steps, in this order, to get you back on track.

  1. Try your own trouble shooting.
  2. Talk to your labervisor or point person (see list below).
  3. Email Techhelp

Labervisors are the technology point people for each department


Who else is there and how can we help?

Educational Technology Coordinator Nancy Errico Budgets, state reports, planning, etc
Instructional Technology Specialist

Working with teachers and students, learning new software, providing support, team teaching, training for teachers on schoolwide software
Network Administrator Dave Walsh Creating accounts, monitoring servers, troubleshooting with network issues
Computer Technician Dennis Phillips Hardware issues with computers, printers, reimaging computers
Student Help Zori Babroudi, Darren Agarwal, Zach Baumer Work on Wednesdays and in the summer with computer maintenance
Labervisors See Above Lab and ibook signups, maintenance, inventory, local issues within department
Database Manager Seth Weiss (0.25) iPASS

 

Miscallaneous technology tidbit: when working with the Student Carts, the cart base station must be plugged into network drop. Connect via LSRHS Airport.
