Changing Your Network Password

The first thing you should do when you get a new account is change the password. Your new password should be something you will remember and NOT something that would be easily guessed (like your first name, etc.).

System Preferences Screen Shots

1. Click on the Apple icon at the top lefthand corner of the screen and scroll down to System Preferences... to choose (above left).

2. Click once on the Accounts icon in the System Preferences panel (above right).

3. Click the Change Password button on the Accounts screen (below left).

4. Type in your assigned password (the password you used to log on to this computer just now) in the Old Password box and then your New Password (easy for you to remember, hard for others to guess) in the next two (2) boxes (below right).
