Title: Watch a Media Education Foundation movie: Spin the Bottle, sex lies and alcohol
Spin the Bottle offers an indispensable critique of the role that contemporary popular culture plays in glamorizing excessive drinking and high-risk behaviors. Award-winning media critic Jackson Katz and Jean Kilbourne contrast these distorted representations with the often disturbing and dangerous ways that alcohol consumption affects the lives or real young men and women.
Facilitator: Sarah Greeley

Title: iPass

Title: Stalin and the GULAG
This seminar will look at the rise of Joseph Stalin in the USSR and then focus on the creation of the GULAG, the largest penal system ever created. During his thirty years in power, Stalin instituted policies that led to the deaths of over ten million people and shattered the lives of countless more. The material presented in this seminar will be based on my two years of research funded by NEH as well as interviews collected by LS students on a trip we took to Siberia in 2001.
Facilitator: Dave Hosford

Title: Visions part II for second year staff
Facilitators: Leslie Gray, Leslie Belcher, Karen Thomsen, Rami Alwan

An overview of the four modules of DBT so people have a better understanding of our course called, “Skills for Well-being”.
